Held as one of the most revered places in the country, Badrinath is believed to be one of the Char Dhams. It is believed to have been laid by Saint Shankaracharya. Other noted temples in the town include Yogathyan Badri, Bhavishya Badri, Preetha Badri and Adi Badri. The Vyas Caves here are also a major draw as they are considered to be the spot where sage Ved Vyas dictated the entire Mahabharata to Lord Ganesha.
