Begin your morning with a visit to the Samstanling Monastery located barely a 10-minute up-hill walk from the resort. The monastery visiting time is from 8 am - 12 pm in the mornings and 1:30 to 6 pm in the afternoons & evenings, and we recommend an early visit by 8 itself. A walk along the village also shows you the simple Ladakhi way of life worth exploring. If adventure is your calling, then a short drive to other parts of Nubra such as Khalsar village (21km), Diskit (33km), or Hunder (40 km) also offer ATV riding across Sand Dunes and river rafting in the Shyok river.

 

The famous Diskit Monastery with the prominent Buddha statue is also only an hour’s drive away, and while you’re there, a visit to Hunder (a further 8 km from Diskit) and the camel safari upon the Double-Humped Bactrian Camels is a must-do.
