The Oriental Hotel is located at Mahatma Gandhi Marg, Gangtok which is a centre of Tibetan Buddhist culture and learning. The CNI Church (Approx. 1km) is located at a walkable distance from the hotel. The Do Drul Chorten Monastery (Approx. 6km) is the biggest stupa in Sikkim.

It is located on the hill hock, which is adjacent to the Tibetology Institute. Other tourist spots which that can also be explored are Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary, Mt. Katao and Phensong Monastery.
